Petrochemicals


PBI (polybenzimidazole), a high‑temperature‑ and highly corrosion‑resistant specialty material, has a decomposition temperature exceeding 600°C and can operate stably at 310°C over extended periods. It is well suited to the demanding operating conditions throughout the entire petrochemical process, addressing the key limitations of conventional materials.
In oil extraction, PBI is used in downhole high-temperature, high-pressure seals, logging‑tool housings, and fracturing temporary plugging components, ensuring operational safety and enhancing production efficiency.
In the petroleum refining and petrochemical processes, it serves as a lining for reactors and heat exchangers, as well as a sealing material for flanges and valves, thereby extending equipment life and preventing process fluid leakage.
In the chemical processing and transportation sector, PBI is used for pipe linings, conveying pipelines, and rubber joints, enhancing pipeline corrosion resistance and sealing performance.
