Apexazole® PBI Coating Solution

Apexazole® PBI coating solution is a uniform, stable, viscous liquid prepared by dissolving solid polybenzimidazole resin in specialized polar organic solvents such as DMAc, DMSO, DMF, and NMP.
Due to the extremely high melting temperature of pure PBI resin, it cannot be processed using conventional thermoplastic techniques; however, a PBI coating solution effectively overcomes this processing limitation. Benefiting from its excellent fluidity and film-forming properties, this solution is compatible with a wide range of coating processes, including spray coating, impregnation, brush coating, and cast‑film extrusion, and can adhere firmly to various substrate surfaces, such as metals, glass, ceramics, and polymeric materials.
After drying and high-temperature curing, it forms a dense, tough protective coating that exhibits excellent high‑temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, and wear resistance. Moreover, this solution can also be used to prepare functional thin films and hollow‑fiber membranes, meeting the demands for protection and precision molding under extreme operating conditions across multiple applications.
