Polybenzimidazole (PBI) is an engineering thermoplastic polymer that boasts the highest overall performance among commercially mass‑produced materials, earning it the reputation of “king of polymers.”

Apexazole® PBI profiles are the result of end-to-end, in-house R&D and large-scale production, offering a significant cost‑performance advantage. They can fully replace comparable imported materials, thereby eliminating the bottleneck of constrained application costs. Backed by outstanding combined properties—exceptional resistance to high and low temperatures, wear, and corrosion—Apexazole® PBI profiles provide long‑term, reliable material performance for a wide range of extreme operating conditions.

Apexazole® PBI profiles primarily encompass four major product categories: sheets, rods, tubes, and sealing materials. The products boast outstanding core performance characteristics: a glass transition temperature as high as 427°C, a heat deflection temperature exceeding 430°C, and top‑tier compressive strength among unfilled engineering plastics. They also exhibit excellent wear resistance—approximately four times that of PAI—and offer broad chemical resistance along with exceptional hydrolytic stability.

Among these, PBI sheets and rods are manufactured via hot pressing and injection molding, making them well-suited for extreme operating conditions such as aerospace applications, semiconductor CVD/PVD equipment, and high‑temperature components in the petrochemical industry. PBI tubes are ideal for transporting high‑temperature fluids and for heat‑exchange applications. Meanwhile, PBI sealing materials, with their outstanding properties—including exceptional thermal stability (withstanding temperatures above 300°C in a nitrogen atmosphere), resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, superior electrical insulation, and radiation resistance—represent the preferred solution for high‑end sealing in fields like aerospace, the nuclear industry, fine chemicals, and automotive turbochargers.
